Hi, I’m Bryant Payden, owner and photographer with B. Payden Photography, specializing in wedding dance and portrait artistry.

As a wedding photographer, my role begins well before the big day. I will get to know you and your families as I put together a photographic timeline of your wedding memories. My approach is that of part portrait photographer and part photojournalist – classic, timeless photographs that tell a story.
We also realize that while your wedding photographs are very important, your experience on your wedding day should be equally important. We’ve photographed enough weddings that we know the importance of letting you and your guests be the center of attention, while we do the job we need to do with as little distraction as possible. We want you to relax, enjoy your day, and let us take care of capturing the memories.
My wedding photography career began in 1995 as an assistant photographer with one of the most talented wedding photographers on Capitol Hill. I learned from the best and will bring you a style that is a blend of simple classic elegance with a candid documentary style that captures both the moments and the emotions.
Now that you know my professional background, I’ll share a little about me, personally: I’m a Navy brat, from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was born in Bangkok, Thailand and have travelled all over the world. In my downtime I enjoy cooking, reading, travel, college football, and art. And I’m a father of three wonderful kids.

YOUR WEDDING PORTRAITS ARE NOT JUST PHOTOGRAPHS, but heirlooms to be treasured, admired and passed along for generations. After the cake has been eaten, the flowers have faded, the day has ended, and the guests have all gone home, your photos will be there as a reminder of that special and important day. We specialize in the fine art presentation of your wedding memories by offering many wall art options including canvas wall portraits and custom-designed archival quality albums. We keep your Wedding Investment very straightforward, so you have one less thing to stress over while preparing for your most special day. We charge a flat fee per hour for your wedding day within The Washington DC Metro Area for Two Professional Photographers and an assistant as needed. Included in your hourly rate is Pre and Post Wedding Photo Consultations, Professional Processing of all images, hosting of your images on our website for One Year as well as a custom wedding website for your guests, friends and family to view and purchase your beautiful images. We have payment plans available and will work with you to accommodate your budget so you don't have to choose your memories based solely on price. We combine classic style portraiture with a photo journalistic approach so that your images will look amazing but natural. We keep our portraiture relaxed and fun, encouraging freedom of expression, because natural beauty often comes best with little or sometimes no direction. Family is key to any wedding and we believe that wedding gatherings are the perfect time for recording your new genealogy. As such, traditional posed family group pictures are included.
